Joseph Henry Ferrari
Joseph H. Ferrari, age 93, of Brockway, PA formerly of Conneration passed away at Parkside Elder Care in Brockway on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.

He was born in Sarah Furnace on March 24, 1918, the son of Louis and Mary (Magnani) Ferrari.
Joe resided in the area his whole life until 2010 when he moved to Parkside. He married Dorothy Forsythe in 1950. He honorably served his country in the US Navy. Joe worked as a track machinist for the railroads for over 30 years, beginning with the PA Railroad, then Penn Central, and lastly Consolidated Rail Corporation. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Union. A catholic by faith, Joe was a member of St. Richards Catholic Church of Rimersburg.
Joe was an avid outdoorsman and in his younger days enjoyed hunting and gardening. He loved to travel and had visited various points across the globe including Hawaii, Alaska, Southwest United States, and Italy where he had the opportunity to visit relatives. Many may remember Joe from Sarah Furnace and the family farm providing dairy products to area residents. Life on the farm taught him the value of a hard day's work, a strong work ethic, and unwavering support of family and friends that continued throughout his life of which he proudly modeled for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two children; his son, Dennis Ferrari and his wife, Sandy of Clearfield, PA and his daughter, Deborah Senard and her husband Steven of Mauee, OH; three grandchildren, Marisa Rothrock, Nicole Maines, and Theresa Luzier; 10 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Leo Ferrari of Pittsburgh.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, an infant son and G. Dean Ferrari; two brothers, Olisse Ferrari and S. John Ferrari; and two sisters, Louise Martinella and Theresa Ferrari.
Relatives and friends may visit from 11-1PM on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main Street, Rimersburg. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home immediately following visitation at 1PM.
