Linda Lee Cashdollar

Linda Lee Cashdollar, age 70, of Shelocta, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home.

She was born January 31, 1941, in Lower Burrell, Westmoreland Co., PA, the daughter of Samuel and Hilda (Weitzel) Watters.

Faith, family and friends played an integral role in Linda's life. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church and served the youth of the congregation as a past Sunday school teacher and superintendent. Her other memberships included the Women's Committee Chairperson of the Armstrong County Farm Association. Linda took great pleasure in writing poems and letters and collecting antiques. She enjoyed her sweet and simple life of caring for her family and tending to their farm, Cashdollar Farms; it was an important part of her and Bob's life, and they took great pride in the bounty of their efforts each year. Linda was blessed by a loving family and circle of friends and will be greatly missed by those lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert H. Cashdollar, who she married August 27, 1960; son, Robert T. Cashdollar and wife, Karen, of Shelocta; two daughters, Mandy Loughner and husband, Jack, of Shelocta, and Edie Stephenson and husband, Greg, of Smicksburg; five grandchildren, Seth Loughner, Michelle Loughner, Paige Cashdollar, Brett Cashdollar and Lane Stephenson; a brother, Thomas Watters, of Lakeland, FL; and two sisters, Janet Landis, of Englewood, FL, and Cathy Morningstar, of Lower Burrell, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, 238 S. Main Street, Elderton.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 1051 Girty Rd., Shelocta, with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Union Lutheran Cemetery, Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong Co.
