Margaret L. "Margie" KlingensmithMargaret L. "Margie" (Zurney) Klingensmith, 87, of Ford City, PA, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on January 31, 2018.
She was born September 10, 1930 in Pattonville, PA, the daughter of Clair and Olive Claire (Yingst) Zurney.
Margie was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ford City for over 50 years. At the church she served as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess, and officer and member of the American Baptist Women. Margie also belonged to the Ladies Red Hat Organization. Caring for her family was paramount in her life. Margie was a wonderful baker and loved traveling and spending time with her family.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Ronald Klingensmith and wife, Cathy, of Kittanning, and Timothy Klingensmith and wife, Teresa, of Ford City; daughters, Christine Moss and husband, Arnold, of Kittanning, Kathleen Martz and husband, Joseph, of Kittanning, Jennifer Hayes and husband, Raymond, of Mechanicsburg, MD, and Brenda Bruno and husband, Anthony, of Shelocta; grandchildren, Claire Osborne and husband, James, Jason Seifert, Jeremy Seifert, Sara Phillips, Duncan Campbell and wife, Kim, Molly Erion and husband, Bryan, Robert Hayes, Raymond Hayes, Jr. and wife, Jena, Rachel Oakes and husband, Jason, Kyle Bruno and wife, Marissa, and Brent Klingensmith and wife, Anna; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Keith O. Klingensmith, whom she married September 16, 1950 and who died June 8, 2005; grandson, James Paul "J.P." Seifert, III; granddaughter, Gretchen M. Moss; great-grandson, Blake Martin Klingensmith; brother, Harry L. Zurney; and sisters, Mary M. Mechling and Ruth Wills.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, 2230 Center Ave., Ford City, with Pastor Timothy Kutch, Jr. and Pastor Mark Brady co-officiating.
Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
