Donna Lee Groves

Donna Lee Groves, 82, of Chicora, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the home of her friend.

She was born November 18, 1935 in Grove City, PA, the daughter of George K. and Violet Mae (Eisenhuth) Groves.

Donna graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in English Literature. For many years, she was a teacher and administrator for the School for the Deaf in Albuquerque, NM, and served as the director of the preschool at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and watching sports.

She is survived by her dear friends and care givers Ella and Paul Baker, and several cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Groves.

Family and friends will be received from 1-4 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 102 Argyle Street, Petrolia, PA, where funeral services will follow at 4 PM with the Pastor Mark A. Wallace officiating.

Private burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Chicora, Pennsylvania.

Contributions may be made in Donna's honor to a Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, 300 E. Swissvale Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
