Kevin G. Adams

Kevin G. Adams, 64, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home.

He was born October 21, 1953 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Gene M. and Willovene R. (Rankin) Adams.

Kevin graduated from Kittanning High School in 1971 and then studied watch making for two years at Bulova School in Queens, NY. He was the third-generation owner of Adams Jewelers in Kittanning, retiring in 2013. Kevin was dedicated to his business and customers, and enjoyed being around people.

He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Kittanning. His faith and family were very important to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially driving them around in his 1932 Ford Coupe. Kevin enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating along the Allegheny River with his family, and also enjoyed the peace and quiet of Holly River State Park in West Virginia. In his spare time, he liked building new things. He will best be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who was a wise man and offered fair and just advice.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years Phyllis I. (Painter) Adams whom he married June 1, 1973; two sons, Steven D. Adams and wife, Christine, of Clemmons, NC, and Gregory T. Adams and wife, Meghan, of Gibsonia; a daughter, Kristy L. Lipkin and husband, Joshua of Kittanning; four grandchildren, Jake, Cami, Emme, and Ayden "Tater"; and a brother, Jeffrey K. Adams of West Lebanon.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald E. Adams.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Edwards officiating.
