Evelyn M. Williams

Evelyn M. Williams, 88, of Rimersburg, PA passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at Clarview Nursing Home.

She was born April 26, 1928 in Sligo, PA.

Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Clarion County, spending her youth in Kissinger Mills and her adult life in Rimersburg. She attended Rimersburg First United Methodist Church and Carwick Wesleyan Church, and belonged to the Rimersburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the former Rimersburg Garden Club. Evelyn held many jobs throughout her life and worked at Joy Manufacturing in Franklin, the former Rimersburg Record, the Clarion County Home and Stanko Pharmacy. She was most recently employed at Rimersburg Elementary School where she was known as the "Lunch Lady." From 1951 until 2010, Evelyn also babysat the children of local families and even had the privilege of watching two generations for some of the families.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Dixie Gier and husband, Robert, of Ridgway; grandchildren, Annakaye E. Fenell and husband, Benjamin, of Edinboro, and Bonnie J. Gier and fiancé, Joseph Sampson, of Ridgway; great-grandson, Blake D. "The Boss" Fenell; brother, William "Bill" Lewis and wife, Judy, of Beaver; sisters-in-law, Mary Carolyn (Cobbett) Lewis, of Beaver, Bonnie (Williams) McCullough, of Kellersburg, and Ruth (Williams) Buzard, of Worthington, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good neighbors and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce D. Williams, whom she married June 27, 1953 and who died December 28, 1971; brothers, Thomas Lewis and Clifton "Packy" Lewis; and sister, Gloria Randolph.

Family and friends will be received from 1-7 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Guntrum officiating.

Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
