Wayne E. Yount, Jr.

Wayne E. Yount, Jr., 80, of Ford City, PA, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Jan. 29, 1941 in Shay, to Gladys (Henry) and Wayne E. Yount, Sr.

Wayne graduated from Elderton High School in 1959. He worked for Myers Bus Company and was a truck driver for many years. Wayne was a member of the United Rockville Lutheran Church and attended Rosston Chapel. He was a member of the Kittanning Township Fire hall, Masonic Lodge # 805, the New Castle Consistory and a former Master of Marshall Grange.

Wayne owned a modified stock car 777, that he often raced at Lernerville, Marion Center and many tracks in Wester Pa. He loved to listen to country music and enjoyed dancing.

His memory will be cherished by his sister, Deborah A. Ramstad of Ford City; sister-in-law, Wanda Yount of Kittanning; nephew, Carl Baker and wife, Jeanne of Florida; nieces, Rev. Kathleen Nice, her husband and one of Wayne's caregiver, Chris of Ford City, Jacalyn Marsh of Florida, Sandra Baker of New Jersey and Pamela Marchione and husband, Dave of New Jersey; caregiver, John Evans; and his beloved Shih Tzu's Abby, Molly and Mya.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley M. Yount, who passed away on Sept. 10, 2003; his fiancée, Wilma Yingling; his brother, Jay A. Yount and his sister, Nancy G. Quinton.

Friends and family will be received from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Bauer Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Johns officiating.

Interment will be the United Rockville Lutheran Cemetery in Ford City.
