Olive A. (Johns) Tarr

Olive A. (Johns) Tarr, 84, of Adrian, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Melody Manor in Kittanning.

Olive was born on Nov. 10, 1936 in Adrian, PA to Sherman W. and Wilda (Helm) Johns.

Olive was a lifelong resident of Adrian. She was a member of the Montgomeryville Baptist Church in Adrian, the Sugar Creek Auxiliary and the Kittanning Eagles. Olive worked in the dietary department of the Armstrong County Health Center. She enjoyed going to the Worthington Senior Center, traveling, playing cards and bingo. Olive especially loved going to the casino, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, David G. Tarr, Jr. and wife, Jamie of Adrian; Timothy L. Tarr and wife, Melissa of Ravenna, OH; her daughter, Rose Tarr Delgado and husband, Rick of Pattison, TX. Grandchildren: Adrian Johnson, Kiesha Detwiler and husband, Matthew, David Tarr III and wife, Kristen, Richard Tarr, Jr and Victoria, Robin Delgado, Breanna Tarr and Robert, Elizabeth Pruden and husband, James. Great-grandchildren: Gavin Detwiler, Luke Detwiler, Nathan Conner, Richard Tarr III, Nova Tarr, Jackson Cross, Amelia Cross, and Robert Cross. Olive is also survived by her brothers, Edgar Johns of Worthington; Chambers Johns and wife, LaVera of Worthington, Alton Johns and wife, Gladys of Kittanning, Dennis Johns and wife, Jane of Adrian; and a sister, Phyllis Roe of Beaver Falls, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard J. Tarr, Sr.; brothers, Hubert Johns, Sherman F. Johns, and Richard Johns; sisters, Edna Koedel, Maxine Anthony, Mary Clark, and Gladine Breene; three infant brothers and one infant sister.

Friends will be received from 10 AM until time of services at 12 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA with the Pastor Donald Toy officiating.
