Norma Mae Johns

Norma Mae Johns, 91, of Elderton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at Bethany Place in Indiana, Pa.

She was born February 26, 1929 in Export, PA, the daughter of Harry and Alta (Hill) Rubright.

Norma was a longtime resident of Elderton and a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church. She loved caring for her home and family, and was a former member of the Elderton American Legion. Crocheting and working on puzzle books were two of Norma's favorite hobbies, and she also loved playing the guitar.

She will be remembered with love by her sister-in- law, Gladys Johns of Elderton; niece, Freda Richards and husband, James of New Stanton; and nephew, Gary Glunt and wife, Diane, and nephew and caregivers, Terry Johns and wife, Blythe of Ebensburg, Pa.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Earl Roy Johns, whom she married July 13, 1982 and who died May 4, 1991; brother, Dean Rubright; sisters, Martha Jane Cline and Mabel Kiebler; and one infant sister.

Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, Jan. 14 2021, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA, with Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating.

Due to current regulations, all social distancing guidelines will be followed. Guests are respectfully asked to wear a mask or face covering.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
