William Paul Sharp, Sr., 88, of Shelocta, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born on May 11, 1932, in Shelocta, PA, to A. Wilmer and Olive Melissa (Waugaman) Sharp.

Paul honorably served in the United States Airforce during the Korean Conflict. For many years, he owned and operated Sharp Supply Company. Paul was a Mason and was a member of the Shelocta Sportsmen's Club and the Austin Costello Sportsmen's Club. His most memorable moments were spent at the family camp in Potter County where he enjoyed hunting. He will best be remembered for being a hard worker who worked from sunrise to sunset.

Paul is survived his son, Paul Sharp, Jr. and wife, Samantha of Creekside; two daughters, Tarynn Willson and husband, Bill, of Attica, NY, and Sara Dillon and husband, Rob, of Shelocta; two stepsons and one step-daughter; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Sharp and wife, Gail, Larry Sharp and wife, Mary Ann, and Ken Sharp and wife, Sandy, all of Shelocta; a sister, Helen Altman of Shelocta; sister-in-law, Bev Sharp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 27 years, Linda Dale (Schreglman) Sharp whom he married August 20, 1977 and who died October 25, 2004; a brother, Vernon "Blackie" Sharp; an infant sister, Delsie Irene Sharp; and a brother-in-law, Larmar Altman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA, where the funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating.

Interment will follow at the Shelocta Presbyterian Cemetery, Shelocta, PA.
