Floyd P. Cribbs

Floyd P. Cribbs, 85, of Creekside, PA, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at his home.

He was born October 26, 1934 in Indiana County, PA, the son of James R. and Blanche (Donahue) Cribbs.

Floyd was a lifelong resident of Creekside and for many years worked for various companies as a coal truck driver. Most recently, he was self-employed as a coal truck driver, retiring in 1997. Floyd liked to keep busy and enjoyed running his small junk yard in his spare time. He also liked playing darts, watching trains and working in his yard. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Jim and Sis for the wonderful care they provided Floyd over the past few years.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Floyd "Jim" Cribbs and wife, Cheryl, of Dayton, PA, Michael Cribbs and wife, Brenda, of Creekside, and Steven Cribbs and wife, Brandi, of Punxsutawney; daughters, Lucinda Jewart and husband, Randy, of Sagamore, Mary Jo Blazavich and companion, Michael Glover, of Creekside, Pamela Cramer and husband, Joseph, of Creekside, Lori Windows and husband, Kevin, of Atwood, Lorraine Craig, of Elderton, and Jeanie Falesic and husband, John, of Commodore; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, David Cribbs, of Creekside; sisters, Ruby Houck, of New Jersey, and Ruth Harpster; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Dorothy M. (Geppert) Cribbs, whom he married September 30, 1956 and who died November 26, 2017; brother, Bernard Cribbs; and sisters Alice and Pearl Cribbs.

Funeral services will be privately held. A memorial service to celebrate Floyd's life will be announced at a later date.

Interment will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery, Indiana County, PA.
