Dennis C. Snyder, Sr.

Dennis C. Snyder, Sr., 67, of Avonmore, PA, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 at his home.

He was born June 14, 1952 in New Kensington, PA, to Eli and Ruth (Jones) Snyder.

Dennis was very patriotic and he proudly served in the US Marines during the Vietnam conflict. He loved to travel and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was always available to help anyone in need. He will be lovingly remembered for dedicating his life to raising and caring for his family.

His memory will be cherished by his son, Dennis C. Snyder, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Newton, AL; daughter, Christina Alamed and husband, Andrew of Avonmore; daughter, Tobby Snyder of Orlando, FL; son, Albert Snyder, Jr. and husband, James of Vandergrift; grandchildren, Catherine Snyder, Victoria Snyder, Charles Snyder, Brady Alamed, and Izabella Smith; brother, Albert Snyder, Sr. of Avonmore; and sisters, Judy Haggery of Indiana, Dorothy Love of Avonmore, Vivian Steele and husband, Dan of Spring Church, and Cynthia Steele and husband, Mark of Spring Church.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Barbara Ann Snyder; three brothers, Eli Snyder, Jr, Dean Snyder and Ronald Snyder; and one sister, Emma Meyers.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 at the funeral home, with Rev. Kathy Nice officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Armstrong County American Legion Honor Guard following the service.
