Samuel Dean Fleming

Samuel Dean Fleming, age 73, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at his home in Batavia, NY.

Samuel was born March 29, 1945, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Charles Dean Fleming and Nelle Eilene Fleming.

A member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Mr. Fleming worked at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for over 35 years, retiring in 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Augustine Crimes Fleming; his son, James Fleming, of Batavia; step-children, Lisa Fleming, of Batavia, Andrew Crimes, of Batavia, and Cynthia Crimes, of Batavia; two sisters, Mazie Vallies and Nancy Fleming, both of Shelocta; a cousin, Joe (Shirley) Brock; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Mabel Fleming and Howard Fleming.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 12 PM on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA, with the Rev. Alfred Kimmel officiating.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
