Amy L. Hiles

Amy L. Hiles, 49, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at ACMH Hospital.

She was born November 20, 1968 in Brookville, PA, the daughter of James Earl and Patty Lou (Hornberger) Johnston.

Amy was raised in Distant and was a resident of the Rimersburg area for nearly 30 years. She worked as an aide at Training Toward Self Reliance in Knox. She loved being outdoors and especially looked forward to camping trips with her family and friends. Amy had a big heart for animals and often took in strays. Family was paramount in her life and she will be greatly missed.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, William "Bill" Hiles, whom she married September 27, 1997; sons, Nathan Slee and Dillon Heasley, both of Rimersburg; and brothers, Jim Johnston, of New Bethlehem, Jeff Johnston and wife, Gwen, of Distant, Greg Johnston and companion, Joyce Yeany, of Distant, and Todd Johnston and wife, Belinda, of Widnoon.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ryan Slee; and brother, Doug Johnston.

Family and friends will be received from 2 PM until the time of funeral services at 4 PM on Friday, November 23, 2018, at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg, with the Rev. Lyle Westover officiating.
