Helen Lucille Miller

Helen Lucille Miller, 95, of Elderton, PA, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at Kittanning Care Center.

She was born August 28, 1923 in Gastown, PA, the daughter of Arthur Wilson and Wanda (Reefer) Frailey.

Helen was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Gastown where she took part in the women's church group and also was a former secretary for the Gastown Cemetery Association. She worked for the Armstrong School District in the cafeteria as a cook and head baker for 21 years until her retirement in 1984.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, William Vernon Miller and wife, Sandy, of Elderton, and Larry Arthur Miller, of Spring Church; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Grace Wagner, of Cortland, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Vernon G. "Dutch" Miller, whom she married July 9, 1940 and who died October 15, 2010; grandson, Rick Miller; brothers, Eugene, Wayne, Everett M., Jacob H., Blair, Ray and Robert Frailey; and sister, Margaret Altman.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, 238 S. Main Street, Elderton.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018, at the Christ Lutheran Church of Gastown, 205 Gastown Road, Shelocta, PA, with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating.

Burial will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
