Rosalyn A. "Rose" Brumbaugh

Rosalyn A. "Rose" Brumbaugh, 80, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, at her home.

She was born December 30, 1937 in Templeton, PA, the daughter of Charles E. and Ethna (Adams) Slagle.

Rose graduated from Kittanning High School and for 40 years was a well-known local real estate professional, dedicated to helping her clients find the perfect place to call home. Rose owned Brumbaugh and Associates Better Homes and Gardens, which later became Northwood Realty, and also taught real estate classes at IUP.

Rose was a longtime resident of Armstrong County, where she raised her family. Her fondest memories were of spending time in Wattersonville on the Allegheny River. Rose was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and was an active volunteer at ARC Manor. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, dancing, talking to friends and telling stories. Rose was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and those who knew her will always remember her generous heart and willingness to help others.

She will be remembered with love by her sons, James Brumbaugh and wife, Cindy, of Windermere, FL, and Brian Brumbaugh and wife, Kelley, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Andy Snyder and wife, Laura, Gretchen Snyder, Kyly Bowers, Zachary Brumbaugh, Aaron Brumbaugh and wife, Juliane, Sarah Brumbaugh Baker and husband, Chris, Garret Brumbaugh and Brikel Brumbaugh; great-grandchildren, Isaak Kirkland and Meadow Snyder; and close friend of over 60 years, Woodine Zanotti, of Hyde Park.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, James Arch Brumbaugh, who died November 24, 1987; daughter, Lisa Bowers; brothers, Harry "Bud" Slagle, Robert Slagle and Raymond Slagle; and sister, Shirley Lauster McKelvey.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the funeral home, with Dr. Ronald G. Shafer officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
