Alexander G. "Alex" Bellotti, 89, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at ACMH Hospital.

He was born on February 18, 1929 in Yatesboro, PA, the son of Mario and Ottovia (Caliari) Bellotti.

Alex lived in Kittanning since 1958 and was drafted into the US Army during the Korean Conflict. For 50 years, he owned the barbershop at The Alexander Hotel in Kittanning. Alex was an active member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where he was involved with the church choir. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was part of the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.

In his free time, Alex enjoyed gardening, hunting and making wine. He also loved traveling with his wife, Jean. The highlights of their travels included touring Europe and going on cruises. For many years, Alex and Jean spent their winters in Bradenton, FL and he was a lifelong Pirates and Steelers fan. He also looked forward to spending time at his camp in Wattersonville along the Allegheny River. Alex will be best remembered for his jovial nature, wonderful sense of humor and true love of family.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Doris "Jean" (Black) Bellotti, whom he married June 18, 1955; son, David Bellotti and wife, Sylvie, of Manassas Park, VA; granddaughters, Myrissa Burkle and husband, Brian, of Kittanning, and Anna Koroma, of Manassas Park, VA; great-granddaughter, Bella Burkle; sister, Adelaide "Della" Bellotti, of Yatesboro; brother-in-law, Paul Black and wife, Lucy, of Lock Haven; sisters-in-law, Betty Black, of Slippery Rock, and Woodene Black, of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Paul Bellotti; sisters, Leviana (Bellotti) Pagliarini and Emma Bellotti; and brothers-in-law, Richard and Duane Black, and Guido Pagliarini.

Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 101 W. High St., Kittanning, PA with the Reverend Douglas E. Dorula as celebrant.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
