James L. "Red" Williams, 91, of Templeton, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 23, 1926 in Templeton, PA, the son of George W. and Eva M. (Rebolt) Williams.

Jim graduated from Kittanning High School in 1944 and honorably served in the Navy during World War II on the South Pacific. He retired in 1991 from J.K. Davidson Sand and Gravel of New Kensington after 38 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. Jim was a member of the Templeton Church of God and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He loved spending time with his wife, Peggy, and they attended many of his naval ship reunions. Jim was happiest when spending time with his family and looked forward to going on family pontoon boat rides.

His memory will be cherished by his daughters, Sue W. Kijowski and husband, Paul, of Ford Cliff, and Linda K. King, of Ford City; sons, James L. Williams, Jr., of Trenton, NJ, and Hugh John Williams and wife, Tina (Avi), of Yatesboro; grandchildren, Shawn Minich and wife Cathy (Slagle), Aaron Williams and wife Theresa, Jayna Williams Brown and husband, Rob, Randall King, Samantha Williams, Michaela Williams and Ian Williams; great grandchildren, Cody Minich, Rowan Brown, Owen Williams, Tyler Brown, Coleton Williams, Jackie Bauer, Jessica Minich and Cassandra Kellar; and brother, Paul Williams, of Weirton, WV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 60 years, Peggy Jean (Borland) Williams, whom he married January 14, 1950 and who passed away January 8, 2011; brothers, Jay Williams, George Williams and Hugh Williams; sisters, Florence Shick and Marian Stroud; and daughter-in-law, Kathy (Mitcheson) Williams.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Grimm officiating.

Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery, Templeton, PA.
