Eleanor "Jean" Rottman

Eleanor "Jean" Rottman, 92, of Petrolia, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 19, 1926 in Bradys Bend Twp., Armstrong Co., PA, the daughter of Charles L. and Lillian D. (Smith) Yough.

Jean was a lifelong resident of the area and member of the Bruin campus of Faith Community Church. She loved caring for her home and was very diligent about cleaning. Her sons were her life and she was dedicated to her family. Baking was one of her many talents and she enjoyed making delicious treats for family and church events. Jean was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates, and also liked playing the card game, Flinch. Gardening was one of her favorite hobbies and she could often be found planting flowers around her home.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Henry W. Rottman, Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Rochelle, GA, and Terry Rottman and wife, Sarah, of Butler; grandchildren, Michelle Keene and husband, Scott, Michael Rottman and Mark Rottman; great-grandchildren, Holden Rottman, Zachary Rottman, Mollie Moorhouse, Grace Keene and Laura Lee Keene; and close friends, Phyllis and John Moore, of Petrolia.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Henry W. Rottman, Sr., whom she married February 17, 1945 and who died July 22, 1996; brothers, Dode, Pat and Billy Yough; and sisters, Toddie Hertwick, Thelma Wirt, Evelyn Snyder, Dorothy Bowser and Greta John.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 102 Argyle Street, Petrolia, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, April 23, 2018, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Floyd Barnhart officiating.

Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler, PA.
