Thomas E. Steffy

Thomas E. Steffy, 66, of Dayton, PA, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was born May 24, 1951 in Dayton, PA, the son of William T. and Josephine A. (Rupp) Steffy.

Tom lived in the Dayton area for most of his life and graduated from Dayton High School in 1969. He worked for more than 25 years as a boilerman at Crawford Furniture and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kittanning. Tom was proud of his commitment to his ministry. In his free time, he could often be found watching sports and working on muscle cars and motorcycles. Hunting with his family was one of his favorite pastimes and he loved sharing a laugh with those around him. Tom blessed others with his positive attitude and will be best remembered for being loyal and hardworking.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Josephine Steffy, of Dayton, PA; sons, Toby E. Steffy and companion, Kerry Freyermuth, and Ben T. Steffy, all of Pittsburgh; brother, Tim Steffy and wife, Jackie, of New Bethlehem; and sisters, Patricia A. Johns and husband, Eugene, of Kittanning, and Garnet G. Light and husband, Robert, of Palmyra, PA.

Tom was preceded in death by his father and two infant siblings.

A memorial service will take place at 2 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 528 Troy Hill Rd., Kittanning, PA, with Darryl Petrus officiating.

Interment will be in Emory Chapel Cemetery, Dayton, PA.
