Mildred ''Midge'' Louise Griffith

Mildred "Midge" Louise Griffith, 84, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Indiana, PA, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA.

She was born June 8, 1933 in Idaho, PA, the daughter of Robert John and Sara Ruth (Richardson) Munshower.

Midge lived in Indiana, PA for many years and was a member of Shelocta Community United Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Vacation Bible School. She moved to San Diego about 6 years ago and enjoyed drives through the mountains.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Midge loved spending time with family at the Richardson Reunion and Camp Gobble Gobble in Potter County. She loved cardinals and playing canasta, five hundred and pinochle.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia McDermott, of Monrovia, MD; son, Donald McDermott and wife, Tracey, of Portland, NY; companion, David Mosley, of San Diego, CA; granddaughter, Amanda Rulong, of Sumter, SC; grandson, DJ McDermott, of Dunkirk, NY; and three great-grandchildren.

Midge was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Emmett "Blake" Griffith.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kathy Nice officiating.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, Pennsylvania.
