Paul E. Switzer

Paul E. Switzer, 86, of Sligo, PA, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at Clarview Nursing Home.

He was born July 21, 1931 in Rimersburg, PA, the son of George A. and Faye Louise (Manson) Switzer.

Paul lived in the area all his life and retired from the Commodore Homes Trailer Factory in 1988. He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed hunting. In his free time, Paul also loved watching John Wayne movies and cheering on the Steelers and Pirates.

He will be remembered with love by his wife, Marjorie J. (Fagley) Switzer, whom he married February 14, 1952; sons, Larry P. Switzer and companion, Deb Graham, of Knox, and William K. Switzer and wife, Gloria, of Rimersburg; grandchildren, Nathan Switzer and wife, Cheri, Michael Switzer and wife, Heidi, Jennifer Petrocy and husband, Steve, Jason Switzer and companion, Donna, Brian Switzer, Lacie McSwain and husband, Chris, Jeremy Switzer and wife, Kristen, Melissa Ford and husband, Jonathan, and Jarod Switzer; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; son, David E. Switzer; brother, Connell D. Switzer; and sister, Betty Maxine Switzer Walter.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg, with the Rev. Mark Deeter officiating.

Burial will be in Sligo Cemetery, Sligo, PA.
