Dawnisie E. Luke

Dawnisie E. Luke, 73, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born November 18, 1944 in Kittanning to Donald and Esther (Fry) Farester.

Dawnisie was a lifelong resident of Kittanning and was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She worked as a caregiver and aide at Erdley's Personal Care Home and ACMH Hospital. Crocheting and reading were her favorite hobbies, but above all Dawnisie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Ernest G. Luke, whom she married September 7, 1968; son, Kevin A. Luke and wife, Tami of Kittanning; daughters, Jean A. Peters and husband, John, of Kittanning, and Robyn E. Lenhart and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Victoria Steele and husband, Dylan, Amber Scrivani and husband, Rich, Stephanie Black, Tyler Peters and companion, Tera Hooks, and Sara Peters; great-grandchildren, Corvo, Timberlynn and Cole; brothers, Dalton Farester and wife, Becky, of Globe, AZ, Donald Farester and wife, Carol, of Kittanning, Harley "Ed" Farester, of Claypool, AZ, David Farester, of McGrann, and Daniel Farester, of Ford City.

Dawnisie was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Bauer Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Kathy Davis officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
