Hazel Leone Reedy

Hazel Leone Reedy, 89, of Templeton, PA, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Kittanning Care Center.

She was born January 5, 1929 in Templeton, the daughter of Ralph and Effie (Skinner) Hopper.

Leone was a lifelong resident of Templeton and graduated from Kittanning High School. She loved caring for her home and family and was known for her excellent cooking. Leone previously was a member of Templeton Church of God and later attended church with her children at Faith Cathedral and Oakland Church of God. She loved going to church and belonged to the WCSC. Leone cherished the time she spent with her great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

She will be remembered with love by her sons, Bryan T. Reedy and wife, Kathy Jo, of Templeton, Rodney L. Reedy, of Clemmons, NC, and Alfred N. Reedy and wife, Connie, of New Bethlehem; daughters, Barbara J. Calhoun and husband, David, of New Bethlehem, and Stephanie A. Reedy, of Templeton; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Leone was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert L. Reedy, whom she married May 9, 1950 and who died November 5, 1994; and brothers, Earl and Neilen Hopper.

Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Faith Cathedral, 149 Rau Dr., Kittanning, with the Rev. Alfred Reedy officiating.

Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery, Templeton, PA.
