Maida Patricia Crow

Maida Patricia Crow, 91, of Kittanning, formerly of Templeton, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Kittanning Care Center.

She was born March 17, 1926 in Rimer Hill, PA, the daughter of David Aaron and Mary Elizabeth (Myers) Crow.

Maida attended Rimer Hill Elementary School and later graduated from Kittanning High School in 1943. During her first year of high school, she took the train into Kittanning from Hooks Station in Rimer. She was of the Protestant faith and formerly attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Brockway. Throughout her life, Maida worked at Sylvania in Brookville, Carborundum in Niagra Falls, NY, and with the US Navy in Washington, DC. She also lived in Brockway for 22 years while working for Brockway Glass, now Owens Illinois, until retiring in 1988.

She will be deeply missed by her sister, Sally Head, of Bremen, GA; sisters-in-law, Nancy Kroh, of Middleburg, PA, and Susan Crow, of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law, Michael Amoroso, of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Maida was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David Paul Kroh, Robert S. Kroh, and Richard "Duane" Crow; and sisters, Mary Jane Lewis, Dolores Quint, Betty Jo Amoroso, Nancy Buzzard, and Bernice Crow.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Burial was in Tidal Cemetery, Tidal, PA.
