Sally Irene Walter

Sally Irene Walter, 70, of Clarion, PA, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Clarview Nursing Home.

She was born September 15, 1947 in Fern, PA, the daughter of Norman L. and Ethel I. (Altman) Snyder.

Sally was a lifelong resident of Clarion County and graduated from Keystone High School in 1965. For over 25 years, she worked with Orchard Manor, Inc. of Grove City and most recently served as secretary for their Board of Directors. Sally belonged to the Phoebe Rebekah Lodge #123 of Rimersburg, part of the IOOF of PA. Crafting and crocheting were her favorite hobbies and she was happiest when spending time with her family. Those who knew Sally will always remember her wonderful ability to put a smile on the face of those around her.

She will be remembered with love by her husband, Jacob D. Walter, whom she married June 14, 1969; son, Jacob E. Walter and wife, Sheri, of Clarion; daughter, Candace B. Bowser and husband, Bill, of Mayport; and grandchildren, Scott A. Walter, Jacob F. Walter and Stephanie Dilts.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Norman L. Snyder.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM and 5 PM until the time of funeral services at 6 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg, PA, with the Rev. John A. Milliron officiating. The Ladies of Phoebe will present a Rebekah Service at 5:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sally's honor to Orchard Manor, Inc., 20 Orchard Dr., Grove City, PA 16127.
