Isabelle L. Brubaker

Isabelle L. Brubaker, 85, of Dayton, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 26, 1932 in Vandergrift, PA, the daughter of Gaylord and Hazel (Beir) Lafferty.

Isabelle graduated from Vandergrift High School in 1950 and worked at Uniroyal for 35 years, retiring in 1990. She loved being outdoors and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Isabelle could often be found sitting on her front porch while reading. Baking was one of her many gifts and she was known for making the "best" zucchini bread and delicious date nut cookies. Isabelle also enjoyed watching QVC and purchasing many products. She loved being with her family - especially her children and grandchildren. Isabelle will be best remembered for her good heart and kind soul.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Paul E. Brubaker and wife, Joann, of Hamler, OH, and Robert L. Brubaker and wife, Rose, of Dayton, PA; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Annabelle Montague, of Dayton, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Lafferty.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 E. Main St., Dayton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
