Cleo P. Claypool

Cleo P. Claypool, 87, of Worthington, PA, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at ACMH Hospital.

She was born July 20, 1930 in West Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Delbert A. and Beulah M. (Wolfe) Bowser.

Cleo was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1948. She loved caring for her family and home. Cleo was a member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren, where she was an active deacon for many years and held the title of Deacon Emeritus. She also belonged to the Ladies Knitting Group.

She will be remembered with love by her son, Jerry L. Claypool and wife, Cindy, of Worthington; daughter, Kaydene Heilman and companion, Jim Rushing, of Cumming, GA; seven grandchildren, Angie Ishman and husband, Rev. Dan, Christopher Claypool and wife, Rene, Erick Claypool and wife, Amy, Joshua Claypool, Justin Claypool, Ben Petras, and Holly Floyd and husband, Brandon; twelve great-grandchildren, Damian Ishman and wife, Sarah, Kia, Emma, Mathew, Nathan Ishman, Paige Pacek, Autumn and Callen Claypool, Emma and Blake Petras, and McKenzie and Luke Floyd; one great-great-grandchild, Danica Ishman; brother, D. Wayne Bowser and wife, Rose, of Brookshire, TX; brother-in-law, Robert Ross of North Huntingdon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Russell Clark Claypool, whom she married October 6, 1948 and who died August 19, 1999; and sister, Cheryl Ross.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Center Hill Church of the Brethren, 2039 Freeport Rd., Kittanning, with Pastor Donald Peters officiating.

Burial will be in Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
