Betty Lou Hill

Betty Lou Hill, 86, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Kittanning Care Center.

She was born January 22, 1931, in Kittanning, the daughter of Gilbert and Lillian (Smail) Shannon.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Armstrong County. She worked various jobs throughout her life and most recently was a waitress as Bonello's Steakhouse. Betty was a member of Manorville United Methodist Church and was active in her younger years, serving as a Sunday school teacher. She loved to crochet and spend time with her family.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Cindy Hill and Lori Walker and husband, Clarence, all of Kittanning; grandchildren, Tiffany Pepple and husband, Matt, Brittany Walker, Joshua Walker, Tabitha Fosnot and husband, Scott, and Clarence Walker, III and wife, Jodi; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mildred Rearick and Bernice Hunia, both of Kittanning.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Harry D. Hill, whom she married June 22, 1956 and who died January 16, 2013; daughter, Tamie Hill, who died July 12, 2011; brother, Vernon Shannon; sister, Vivian Magdy; and infant sister, Johanna Shannon

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alison M. Berkey officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
