Anna Jean HartleAnna Jean Hartle, 83, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017, at Clarview Nursing Home.
She was born August 20, 1934 in NuMine, PA, the daughter of Floyd Pernell Holben and Verda Leona (Troup) Holben.
Anna graduated from Union High School in 1953 and worked at the Davis Cookie Company in Rimersburg for 43 years. She enjoyed working in and around her house and took great pride in her home. Anna was raised in and attended the Wildcat Wesleyan Methodist Church for most of her life. She later made her home in Kittanning, where she attended the Kittanning Church of the Nazarene and volunteered at the snack bar at ACMH Hospital. After returning to the Rimersburg area, Anna attended Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion with her son and his family. In her free time, she found pleasure in shopping and going to yard sales. Anna cherished the time with her family - especially her grandchildren - and will be remembered for being a hard worker with a good heart.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Jeffrey P. Hartle and wife, Margie, of Summerville; daughters, Joanna P. Wright and husband, James Mountain, of Ladson, SC, and Jenise P. Bashline and husband, Patrick, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Bryan D. Wright and wife, Brianne, of Batavia, NY, Brittany D. Wright, of Batavia, NY, Meghan M. Hartle, of Johnstown, Morgan G. Hartle, of Summerville, Hailey J. Bigley, of Kittanning, and Noah J. Bigley, of Kittanning; great-grandchildren, Nolen and Taryn Wright; brother, Fred Holben and wife, Lucy, of Brookville; sister, Shirley Bowser, of Kittanning; and several nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Clarence Edward Hartle, whom she married May 6, 1961 and who died March 30, 2006; brother, James Holben; and sister, Verda Wyant.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.
Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Deeter officiating.
Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
