Garold G. Kriebel, 92, of Parker, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 27, 2017, at his residence.

He was born May 20, 1925 in Perry Twp., Clarion County, PA, the son of Joseph Kriebel, Jr. and Myrtle (Judson) Kriebel.

Garold was a resident of the Parker area for most of his life and in his younger years, he raised beef cattle. He honorably served in the US Navy during World War II as a Shipfitter 3rd Class aboard the Patrol Craft P.C. 1127 in the South Pacific. During his service, the Japanese dropped a bomb directly on his ship but it did not detonate sparing the lives of hundreds. Garold worked as a Mechanic Foreman at Clarion University and drove truck for a number of years. He also taught welding at Clarion County Vocational Technical School. Garold was a member and a Lifetime Trustee of the Mt. Hope Church and never missed a Sunday in 22 years. He enjoyed hunting and eating out with friends at the Golden Corral Restaurant.

He will be deeply missed by his sister, Dolores Males and husband, Carlton, of Sligo, PA; two nephews, Blaine G. Kriebel and wife, Patty, of Arizona, and Randy L. Kriebel and wife, Denise, of Callensburg, PA; and a great-niece, Emily Kriebel.

Garold was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Grant Kriebel.

Friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Bauer- Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the funeral home with the Pastor David Stough officiating. Military services will be performed at the funeral home by the Rimersburg American Legion Post 454 and VFW Post 7132.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.

Contributions may be made in Garold's honor to the Mt. Hope Church, 170 Church Road, Parker, PA 16049.
