Herbert Trump Gohdes

Herbert Trump Gohdes, 71, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at ACMH Hospital.

He was born October 21, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA to Francis and Theresa (Nigel) Gohdes.

Herbert proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. A high school graduate, Herbert lived most of his life in Florida before moving to Kittanning in 2001. He previously worked as a self-employed contractor, installing drywall and painting. Herbert attended the St. John's Lutheran Church in Kittanning and found great pleasure in playing golf, reading and fishing along the Allegheny River. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and dog, "Good Old Hawkeye."

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Zalenski, whom he married April 29, 2017; daughter, Meighan Nalducci and husband, Walter, of Marshall Twp., PA; step-children, Brian Zalenski and Jill Zalenski, both of East Vandergrift; grandchildren, Walter, Teresa and Peter Nalducci; brother, William E. Gohdes and wife, Wanda, of GA; and sisters, Marjorie Dana, of Kingsville, OH, and Frances Kenna, of North Hills, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
