Tracy Colleen Frederick Atherton

Tracy Colleen Frederick Atherton, 52, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at ACMH Hospital.

Tracy was born July 8, 1964 in Kittanning, the daughter of Samuel T. Peace, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Patterson) Peace.

Tracy spent her younger years in Yatesboro and moved to Kittanning at age 18, calling the area her home ever since. She worked at many places throughout her life and was most recently employed at Ford's Flowers. Tracy formerly attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church and in her free time enjoyed traveling and visiting the beach. She also loved reading, camping and caring for her pets. Tracy's outgoing personality and caring spirit will always be remembered by those who knew her.

Her memory will be cherished by her father, Samuel T. Peace, Sr., of Yatesboro; husband, Vernon Atherton, whom she married February 28, 2009; son, James A. Frederick, of New York, NY; brothers, Samuel T. Peace, Jr. and wife, Theresa, of Yatesboro, Jeffrey A. Peace, of Yatesboro, and Scott A. Peace and wife, Karen, of Harrodsburg, KY; sisters, Krisandra E. Reddinger and husband, Brad, of Kittanning, and Amanda D. Peace and husband, Rob, of Yatesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; first husband, James A. Frederick, whom she married December 24, 1985 and who died December 18, 2006; and mother-in-law, Anne S. Frederick.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Salem United Church of Christ, 316 Hills Church Rd., Kittanning, PA, with Pastor Todd Marino officiating.
