Delores B. "Lorie" Priester

Delores B. "Lorie" Priester, 82, of Rimersburg, PA passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Clarview Nursing Home.

She was born on February 8, 1935 in Rimersburg, the daughter of Jesse Dale and Stella Mae (Wensel) Rankin.

Delores was a lifelong resident of the Rimersburg area and graduated from Rimersburg High School in 1953. In her younger years, she worked for the former Swanson-Davis Cookie Company of Rimersburg, and later held positions at Archway Cookie Company, Parker Glass Company and the cafeteria at Union School District. Delores was also a member of Rimersburg United Methodist Church; she enjoyed playing card games and belonged to a local card club. Traveling to Butler and playing bingo with her sisters was also a favorite pastime. Family was the driving force in her life and she loved spending time with them. Delores also enjoyed attending the Rankin Family Reunion, which was a tradition for over 100 years. Her children and grandchildren will always remember her devotion to them throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed and was loved and cherished by her daughter, Denise M. McNaughton and husband, Richard, of Rimersburg; son, Donald K. Priester and wife, Tonya, of Rimersburg; grandchildren, twins Brennan and Brittany Bliss, Doni Nicholson and husband, Ross, and twins Derek and Delani Priester; brother, Thomas D. Rankin, of Clarion; sister, Judy Dean and husband, Jerry, of Rimersburg; sister-in-law, Connie Rankin, of Rimersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Durward W. Priester, who passed away August 26, 2001; son, Dana Durward Priester, who died October 3, 1987; twin brother and sister, Donald and Donna Rankin; brothers, Richard and Jack Rankin; and sisters, Zelda Yori, Dorethea Leras and Shirley Murray.

Relatives and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the funeral home, with Carl Best officiating.

Burial will follow at Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
