William J. "Bill" Hileman

William J. "Bill" Hileman, 90, of Dayton, PA, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Armstrong County Health Center.

He was born July 8, 1923 in Kittanning, PA, the son of John H. and Janet (Waugaman) Hileman.

Bill was a lifetime resident of Dayton and was of the Protestant faith. He previously worked for 12 years in the farming and coal mining industries before taking the position of foreman and driller at M&M Lime Co. in Worthington, which he held for 32 years before his retirement in 1990. Bill enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, John Hileman and wife, Lisa, of Dayton, PA; grandson, John Hunter Hileman, of Dayton, PA; and sister, Joanne Gaul, of Kansas.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, H. Louise Hileman, whom he married October 24, 1951 and who died December 12, 2007; daughter, Catherine Wampler, who died in June of 1994; brothers, Joseph and James R. Hileman; sisters, Margaret Fulton and Beulah Harkleroad; and half-sister, Alice Anderson.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 East Main Street, Dayton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eugene R. Barrett officiating.

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
