Genevieve E. Ellermeyer

Genevieve E. Ellermeyer, 81, of Kittanning, PA, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2013 at UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, surrounded by her husband, Charles, and her entire loving family of seven children.

She was born on February 1, 1932, in Ford City, PA, the daughter of Gregory and Xenia (Barna) Kotyk.

Jenny was a graduate of Ford City High School but was a resident of Kittanning for the past 60 years. She was a homemaker whose true calling was tending to her home and family. Nothing gave her more pleasure than caring for her husband and children. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed reading novels, and swimming at the YMCA when she was able to do so. Jenny also enjoyed watching classic movies and football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame.

She was a very committed and devout Catholic who was very dedicated to her church. Her greatest treasure was watching her children and grandchildren grow. She received great joy from all the moments of their endeavors.

She will be sadly missed but will live on forever in our hearts. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles Ellermeyer who she married on June 19, 1954; seven children, Kathleen Blakley and husband, Ben of DuBois, PA, Dr. Charles R.
