Barbara Ruth Jamison

Barbara Ruth Jamison, 71, of Youngstown, OH, formerly of North Apollo, PA, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Omni Manor Nursing Home in Youngstown.

She was born on November 26, 1941 in Girty, PA, to James Robert and Mary (Kelly) Jamison.

Barbara was employed as a dishwasher and helped with preparation for several restaurants, such as Sandy Kay's in Shelocta and Dob-Brothers Country Kitchen in Shadyplain. She was a member of the West Lebanon Church of God, and in her leisure time enjoyed reading and working puzzles.

She is survived by her brother, Merle Jamison and wife, Patricia, of Shelocta; sister, Elaine Hancock, of Youngstown, OH; niece and caregiver, Karen Hancock, of Youngstown, OH; nieces, Cheryl, Kathy, Deb, Gail and Alicia; and nephew, John.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert I. Jamison and George Jamison; and sister, Audrey Jamison.

Friends will be received from 5 PM until the time of funeral services at 7 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA, with the Rev. Kirt W. Anderson officiating.

Burial will be in South Bend Cemetery, Shelocta, PA.
