Lucille W. Long

Lucille W. Long, age 95, of Kittanning, died, Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the Armstrong County Health Center.

She was born December 4, 1917, in Grampian, Clearfield Co., PA to Howard and Agnes (Cyler) Wriglesworth.

Mrs. Long was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church of Kittanning where she served as a church board member and past choir member. She was active in the Republican Women's Association, the Kittanning YMCA and Habitat for Humanity. Lucille was a tax assessor in West Kittanning for two terms and she worked as a secretary in domestic relations at the Armstrong County Court House for thirteen years until her retirement in 1980. She was a 1935 graduate of Clearfield High School and was a resident of the West Kittanning area since 1942. Lucille, along with her husband, enjoyed being the host of "Madade", their camp in Watersonville.

She is survived by her son, David P. Long and wife Tammy of Carlisle, PA; two daughters, Madylin Iseman and husband William of Anna Maria, FL, and Debra Waddell and husband Rickey of Watersonville, PA; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Homer Long whom she married January 7, 1939 and who died October 8, 1995; a brother, Lorimer Wriglesworth; and four sisters, Agatha Neeper, Phyllis Hicks, Vadna Annegan, and Arlene Chelgren.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9PM Monday, July 8 2013, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Sara Wrona officiating.

Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, E. Franklin Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Union Avenue United Methodist Church, 421 Union Avenue, Kittanning, PA 16201.
