Marian J. Wensel

Marian J. Wensel, 85, of Rimersburg, PA passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Shippenville.

She was born on July 25, 1927 in Dutch Hill, PA, the daughter of Harry and Agnes (Kriebel) Mong.

Marian lived in the area all her life and worked in the decorating department at Owens-Illinois Glass in Clarion for 47 years. Faith was important to her and she attended Baker Street Church of God. At the church, Marian sang in the choir and performed in duets and trios. She liked music and played the guitar, and also enjoyed playing bingo. Marian loved being with family more than anything and especially cherished the time spent with her mother. Her family and friends will remember her sweet personality and kind heart, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Drayer and husband, Rodney, of Rimersburg; grandchildren, Sabrina Drayer, Malinda Myers, Farrah Corle and Stacey Drayer; great-grandchildren, Daniel Duncan, Greggy Duncan, Trevor Myers, Tyler Myers, Destiny Corle, Piper Corle, and Jayden; brothers, Harry Mong, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of New Castle, and Thomas Mong and wife, Pat, of Rimersburg.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Paul "Bob" Wensel whom she married October 23, 1948 and who died February 3, 1977; and brothers, Paul and Howard Mong.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Baker Street Church of God, 160 Veteran Street, Rimersburg, with the Rev. John A. Milliron officiating.

Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.
