Leonard K. Rupp

Leonard K. Rupp, 66, of Dayton, PA, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at ACMH Hospital.

He was born June 20, 1949 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Wallace and Emily Virginia (Foster) Rupp.

Leonard was a lifelong resident of the Dayton area and graduated from Dayton High School in 1967. Throughout his life he worked at various gas companies as a laborer and crew leader. Leonard most recently worked for Equitable Gas and Peoples Gas before retiring in January of 2015. He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Leonard loved being outdoors and riding around his property on his John Deere Gator. Planting deer plots and tending to his flower seeds were some of his other favorite hobbies. Leonard will be best remembered for his love of children and willingness to help others.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 46 years, Lois A. (Bussard) Rupp; brother, W. Eugene Rupp and wife, Rosemarie, of Dayton; sisters, Sandra Scherf and husband, Thomas, of Bethel Twp., and Melanie Silvis and husband, Duane, of Boggs Twp.; niece and nephews, Sharon and Timothy Kellner; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents.

At Leonard's request, services will be private.
