Ronald Jackson

Ronald Jackson, 63, of Widnoon, PA passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 16, 1951 in Shelocta, PA, the son of Pauline Jackson Petrovich.

Ronald previously worked for Fairman's Drilling Company in DuBois as a derrick man, but for 30 years ran his own business, Ronald Jackson Construction. He was a gifted carpenter and specialized in restoring old barns, and was known as the "Barn Doctor" by his some customers. Ronald also built his sons' houses with love and pride.

He lived at his current home in Templeton since June of 1986. Ronald attended Widnoon United Methodist Church and during his childhood attended Gastown Reformed Church. He loved being outdoors, especially while hunting and fishing. Playing cards was another of his hobbies and he particularly enjoyed Pinochle. Above all, Ronald loved his family and his favorite memories were of the times spent with them.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Lois Elizabeth (Ainsworth) Jackson, whom he married November 11, 1977; loving father of sons, Thomas Jackson and wife, Misty, and Andrew Jackson and wife, Amber, all of Widnoon; grandson, Gabriel Lynn Jackson; brother, Joseph Petrovich and wife, Lottie, of Smicksburg; sisters, Twila Gearhart, of Eubank, KY, Donna George and husband, William, of Spring Church, Doris Wilhelm and husband, Robert, of Rural Valley; his favorite aunt, Clarabelle Beighley, of Shelocta; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his mother and uncle, Paul Jackson.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joni Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, PA.

Arrangements are being handled by Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's honor to the ACMH Foundation's Oncology Assistance Fund, Three Rivers Hospice, or the Widnoon United Methodist Church.
