Charles W. "Chuck" Minich, 67, of Brick Church, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

He was born October 18, 1947, in Kittanning, PA, the son of Howard L. and Evelyn E. (Snyder) Minich.

Chuck was a lifelong resident of Brick Church and honorably served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for Equitable Gas until his retirement, and he then began working for Operating Engineers Local 66. Chuck was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church of Brick Church and served as the secretary for the Burrell Township Fire Company. He loved all sports and spent his free time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling, and was a member of several leagues.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, James Minich and wife, Donna, of Ford City, and Michael Minich and wife, Sue, of Lancaster; sisters, Joyce Pavetti and husband, Keith, of Penrose, CO, Carol Byrne and husband, Jack, of Bolivia, NC, Patricia Mitchell, of Elderton, and Tammy Tarosky and husband, Dan, of Pittsburgh; 15 nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and sister-in-law, Linda Minnich, Dewittville, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Minich.

Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4and 7-9 PM on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Hawk officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Ford City, PA.

Contributions may be made in Chuck's honor to the Burrell Township Fire Company Truck Fund, 108 Cochrans Mill Rd., Ford City, PA 16226.
