Judith A. Matson

Judith A. Matson, 65, of Chicora, PA, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born July 21, 1949 in Butler, PA, the daughter of Valgene Barclay and Patricia Louise (Schnell) Hedrick.

Judith lived in the area all her life and enjoyed caring for her home and family. She was a nursing assistant at Pine Haven Personal Care Home in Fenelton and loved helping others through her work.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, Patricia Louise (Schnell) Hedrick and husband, Paul, of Fenelton; sons, Fred Barger, of Rome, GA, Robert Barger, of Akron, OH, and David Matson, of Chicora; daughter, Patricia Paulino and husband, Gary, of Kenner, LA; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Judith was preceded in death by her father and sister, Beverly J. Stalker.

At the family's request, services will be private.

Burial will be in North Washington Cemetery, North Washington, PA.
