Rexford L. "Rex" Huber, 90, of North Point, PA, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, at his residence.

He was born November 13, 1923 in Hunter's Grove, Jefferson Co., PA, the son of Jeremiah "Jerry" and Eva Lena (Johns) Huber.

Rex graduated from Dayton High School in 1942 and honorably served in the US Army during World War II. He married Dorothy C. Snyder on May 24, 1947 and in 1958, they moved to the family farm in West Mahoning Twp. It was there that they spent the rest of their years together. He was blessed to be able to provide for his family by working on the farm and drilling gas wells, and he was also a talented woodworker. Rex loved hunting and fishing and held memberships with the NRA and Porter Township Sportsman Club. He was also a member of North Point United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years. Rex will be best remembered for being a wonderful storyteller who always made folks laugh.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy C. Huber, of North Point; children, Carol Alcorn and husband, Gary, of New Bethlehem, Diane Snyder and husband, Larry, of Creekside, Roy Huber and companion, Karen Filiberto, of North Port, NY, and Barbara Reddinger, of Mars; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Wilbur "Bill" Huber and wife, Peggy, of West Newton; sister, Ruby Poulin, of Boonesboro, MD; and sister-in-law, Elinor Huber, of Punxsutawney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne, Jack and William "Hale" Huber; and sisters, Alice Shaffer, Jean Daugherty, Grace Huber and Mary Dorr.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 East Main Street, Dayton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Topar officiating.

Burial will be in North Point Cemetery, North Point, Pennsylvania.
