William R. Colgan
William R. Colgan, age 84, of Dayton, PA died May 18, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on November 11, 1927 in Lucerne, Indiana Co., PA the son of James and Elda (Jeffries) Colgan.
William was a Dayton resident for over 50 years. He was most recently employed by the Doverspike Brothers Coal Company until his retirement in 1987. William enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and caring for his pomeranian, Digger.
Left to cherish his memory are five sons, Robert Zugates of Blairsville, William Colgan and wife Alice of Punxsutawney, Randy Colgan and wife Tracy of Home, PA, Jeff Colgan of Sedalia, MO, Mike Colgan and wife Roberta of Brookville, and Shawn Colgan and wife Cindy of Sedalia, MO; four daughters, Sharon Barr and husband Bob of Altoona, Jane Woodarek and Christine Dinger and husband Allen, both of Punxsutawney, and Holly Lingenfelter and husband Dan of Worthington; 30 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and two sisters, JoAnn and Patty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth Colgan who died in 1987; five brothers, Dick, Jack, Gene, Don, and Jim Colgan; and a sister, Virginia.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 East Main Street, Dayton, PA, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
Burial will be in the Copenhaver Crossroads Cemetery, Redbank Twp., Armstrong Co. with military honors presented by the Armstrong Co. American Legion Honor Guard.
