James M. "Rusty" Creighton, age 90, of Kittanning, PA., died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 7, 1921 in Kittanning, PA the son of Anna Creighton.

Rusty lived in the area most of his life and honorably served his country as a captain in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Gettysburg College and then earned his Master's Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Rusty worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company in Ford City as a member of management throughout his career. Golf and traveling were his passions and he spent a large amount of his free time at the Kittanning Country Club playing rounds with friends. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His memory will be carried on with love by his son, James Wesley Creighton, of Greenville, SC; daughter, Ellen Rush and husband, Bob, of West Kittanning; grandsons, John Bendl and wife, Nicole, of Summit, NJ, Justin Bendl, of Pittsburgh; and great-granddaughters, Grace, Lauren and Rachel Bendl.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 43 years, Barbara (King) Creighton, who passed away November 10, 1987; brother, William Benton; and one infant daughter.

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl A. Johnson officiating.

Interment will be Kittanning Cemetery in Rayburn Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
